Didn't post anything yesterday cos there wasn't really anything to post about.

Come to think of it, not much to post today as well :P So I guess I'm just gonna make it up as I go along...

Oh,got it! Ha, tmr is the City District Meeting for churches. Actually come to think of it, I'm not really sure what's gonna happen to tmr. But apparently, our sacristy is going to be like some kind of open house, I guess?

Apparently that's what Jiang Lai was diagnosed with after being admitted into IMH lol. But I digress from today's actual post.

Soooo... something that's been kinda bothering me is when people point out my enthu-ness at N Air, but can't do the same for my studies. :/ More specifically, just those concerned about my studies are asking this. And I wouldn't say I'm super hardcore about N Air. I just, well...like it a lot I guess. So I thought a bit about this then finally came to a conclusion. Maybe I'm just a person who'd prefer more activity rather than sitting for a few hours with piles of books as company. Or maybe, as a result of that, I'm better in N Air than I could ever be when it comes to studies. People, humans, would tend to gravitate more to stuff they are good at, no? I've sort of figured out why I like N Air so much, but still can't put my finger on why I hate studying so much. I keep telling myself that I should work harder, cos in the end I also want to do as well as I can. Yet when it comes down to the wire, I guess I just... procrastinate. Procrastination is supposed to be the period when the brain is deciding to go for the short-term benefits or long-term benefits. Evidently, the ''short-term benefits'' portion of what's left of my brain tends to win most of the time :P

Another thing that irks me is when people point out my PSLE score, or ask questions like ''Why you never go RI/HCI?'' OBVIOUSLY, you didn't look at my current grades before you decided to ask that question. And honestly, I can tell you PSLE is NOT a good indicator. Come to think of it, most of the stuff you learn in school is redundant when you face the harsh reality of, you know, LIFE. Come on, no one's gonna ask you to calculate the interest you owe the bank after 4 years. Just ask the bank, they'll be more than happy to tell you how much you're gonna owe them in 4 years time. And honestly, I can assure you with dead certainty that my PSLE was a fluke.

Raining now. Global Warming seems to be taking its toll on Singapore now...Tanglin Mall would be a rather good example.

Urgh, my SIM card is flopping around on me now... charger also screwing up. What is this, the Middle East?! My electronics trying to start a revolution against me?! T.T

Disappointment

Yes. Ryan Giggs. DOTY (Douchebag of the year). The revelation that not only did he cheat on his wife, he cheated on her with his brother's wife. Soccer is a sport dominated not only by club rivalry, but also by the sex, money and glamour that comes with it. And that's what makes the impact so much harder. Because you see, Giggs is supposed to be different, the one good thing that exists in a sport constantly making headlines for the wrong reasons. What makes it worse is that he disowned his father and took his mother's surname in retaliation for his father's unfaithfulness. Oh the irony. Giggs was the family man, the one with high morals, who never ended up being splashed on the front page of a tabloid. Now it turns out he's just like any other douchebag out there. He used to be someone I admired, for the reasons stated above, yet now I have lost all respect for him. *Sigh* What a world...

Watched a lot of freddiew today. Realised that Youtuber is sorta like profession, as in you get your salary from well... uploading videos. And also, a lot of of Youtube celebrities are Western Asians (Is that the right term?) Eg. freddiew, Peter Chao, nigahiga, kevjumba, Natalie Tran (Community Channel). And out of all these people, Peter Chao is the only person who I can kind of relate to. The rest have been ''American-ised''. The thing is, why aren't there any home-grown Asians that are well known on Youtube? Does it have something to do with our education system? Stifling creativity for the greater good of academic success? Just something to think about. As they say, If you enjoy what you do, you'll never have to work a day in your life. If only we dared to take that leap of faith, to try something new, it might just work.

Gosh haha, I sound like I'm writing an essay for our English Pack Resource :P

Cancelled

2 sides to every coin I guess. NDP performance is cancelled, but only cos we are the GOH *spasm* So I guess I'm actually pretty excited about this, cos we'll be able to take charge of it, us being Part Cs and NCOs and all. Lucas still to decide the appointment holders, hope I get something to do. On the other hand, Ze Bin suggested to Sir Goh to replace it with a teacher's day performance. Hmmm, I rather like the idea. Actually thought about suggesting Teacher's Day as an ADDITIONAL performance, since HCI does that as well, but I didn't think they'd take to the idea too kindly. Oh well, Teacher's Day should be an interesting alternative. Haha, best of both worlds I guess.

On a more depressing note, FedExpress lost to Nadal at Roland Garros again. :( Really hope he can win Wimbledon, then can beat Pete Sampras' record. (I think it's Pete) So...Jiayous!

In more uplifting news, my SIM card is working again yay! :D Hope it doesn't die out on me again. Si Ern also offered to replace my earpiece, so thanks a lot to him. Apparently it's quite good, so I'm really grateful. No earpiece has made me feel.... incapacitated while travelling. Urgh just a weird, uncomfortable feeling :P
